Privacy Policy

The short version

ByaheCalc is a calculator-only website. We do not have user accounts. We do not collect your email. We do not store your calculator inputs on our servers. We do not currently set any cookies. The only data that touches our systems is cookieless, anonymous analytics (page views, country, device type) — and, if we activate display ads in the future, advertising cookies handled by Google. That's it.

Who we are

ByaheCalc (“we”, “us”) is a Philippine transportation-fee calculator hub operated by an independent developer. This policy describes how we handle information of visitors to byahecalc.com. We comply with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act 10173) and the implementing rules of the National Privacy Commission (NPC).

What we collect

We have no signup, no contact forms, and no user-generated content. We do not directly collect any personal information. Indirectly, the following data flows through our pages:

  • Cookieless anonymous analytics. When you visit a page, Cloudflare Web Analytics records aggregate metrics: page URL, referrer, country (from IP geolocation, not stored), device type, and browser. No cookies are set. This data does not identify you personally.
  • Advertising cookies (future, not currently active). If we enable display ads in the future, Google AdSense and its partners may set cookies on your browser to deliver relevant ads and measure performance. Google would be the data controller for those cookies, governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalized ads via Google Ad Settings. When ads launch, this notice will be updated and a consent mechanism will appear before any advertising cookie is set.
  • localStorage on your device. Your theme preference (light/dark) is stored on your own browser. We never see this value.

What we do NOT collect

  • Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any contact details.
  • Calculator inputs (your plate number, vehicle weight, etc.).
  • Login credentials. We do not have user accounts.
  • Server-side logs of your visits (beyond standard hosting logs).
  • Anything you would consider sensitive personal information under §3(l) of the Data Privacy Act.

Calculator inputs you enter are encoded in the URL itself and processed on our server only to render the result. We do not log, store, or associate those inputs with you. When you share a calculation URL, the inputs travel with the URL — that is by design and is the only way calculation state moves between sessions.

Cookies

We currently do not set any cookies. Our analytics provider (Cloudflare Web Analytics) is cookieless by design. The only browser storage we touch is localStorage for your theme preference, which stays on your device.

If we enable Google AdSense in the future, advertising cookies will begin to be set by Google. Before that happens, this policy will be updated and a consent mechanism will appear so you can accept or decline before any advertising cookie is written.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Vercel — page hosting and serverless functions. Vercel may collect standard server logs (IP, request URL, user agent) for the purpose of operating the service. See the Vercel Privacy Policy.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics — privacy-friendly, cookieless traffic analytics. No personal data is collected; data is not shared with advertisers or sold. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
  • Google AdSense(future, not currently active) — display advertising. If activated, will be governed by Google's privacy policy and your Google Ad Settings.

Your rights under the Data Privacy Act

Under §16 of the Data Privacy Act of 2012, you have rights to be informed, to access, to object, to erasure or blocking, to damages, to file a complaint, to rectify, and to data portability. Because we do not collect personal information directly, most of these rights apply only to the third parties listed above (Vercel, Cloudflare, and Google once AdSense is active) — please consult their respective privacy policies.

Security

ByaheCalc is served over HTTPS only. We have no databases storing user data, so there is nothing of yours for us to lose in a breach. The third-party services we use have their own security commitments.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves (for example, when we enable AdSense or change analytics providers). The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage for at least 30 days.
