What ByaheCalc is

ByaheCalc is a calculator-only hub for Philippine transportation costs. The other sites tell you the rules — we compute the exact peso amount. We launched with five LTO calculators (vehicle registration, late penalties, plate renewal schedule, transfer of ownership, driver's license renewal). Over time, the plan is to cover every peso a Filipino spends on transportation: tolls, commute fares, fuel cost, parking, and inter-island travel.

“Byahe” means trip or journey. It covers driving, commuting, and travel — and that is the whole scope we intend to serve, one calculator at a time.

How we compute

Every fee, rate, and penalty in our calculators traces back to a primary source — LTO memorandum circulars, Department of Finance orders, BIR revenue regulations, and the Insurance Commission rate schedules for CTPL. We archive the source PDFs in our public repository so that anyone can verify our math.

Each calculator page shows a “How this is computed” section with the formula, the cited sources, and a last-verified date. When a memorandum changes a rate, we update the data file, commit it to the repository, and bump the date. That commit is the audit trail. Our calculators are not a guess at what the LTO charges — they are the LTO's own published rates, applied to the inputs you give us.

Who built this

ByaheCalc is built and maintained by Christian Burgos, an independent full-stack developer based in Manila. By day I work in cybersecurity; on evenings and weekends I built ByaheCalc because I kept hitting the same wall as everyone else — searching for “LTO registration fee 2026” and finding ten guide articles that explained the rules but never told me the actual peso amount for my specific vehicle.

ByaheCalc is a one-person project, intentionally. Small surface area, no user accounts, no data to lose, every line of math inspectable. If a calculator is wrong, that is on me directly — email byahecalc@gmail.com and I will fix it.

What we deliberately don't do

• No user accounts.No signup, no login, no passwords to forget. Every calculator's state lives in the URL, so sharing a result is just sharing a link.
• No email capture, no newsletter. We do not want your email address. We will not ask for it.
• No personal data collection. Your calculator inputs (plate numbers, vehicle weights, license types) are not logged or stored on our servers. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
• No guide articles, no blog. Other sites do guides well. We do calculators. That is the whole product.
